CGC is redefining sustainability with a zero-waste approach, ensuring that 100% of production waste is recycled back into manufacturing, eliminating landfill contributions. A high-efficiency, gas-fired kiln recovers evaporated water, reducing energy consumption, while USG's advanced calcining technology transforms gypsum into stucco using the lowest available embodied energy. Complete with its high-efficiency lighting throughout the facility, our Wheatland Plant is truly one of the industry's most sustainable wallboard plants.
"At USG, we think about how sustainability benefits our company as well as our customers. It drives where we invest, particularly in continuously improving and innovating across our products and processes. "
