Mining Association, Construction Specifications Canada, Gypsum
Manufacturers of Canada, the Gypsum Association, Canadian Fire
Safety Association, ULC Fire Test Committee, ASTM committees on
fire, gypsum, environmental acoustics and performance of buildings,
and standing committees of the Canadian Commission on Building and
Fire Codes. The company participates in several ongoing
construction systems development consortia lead by the National
Research Council of Canada.

employees, whose record of hours worked without a lost-time injury

The Environment

communities where it operates. The CGC environmental policy calls
for continuous improvement in energy conservation, waste-water
treatment and material reclaiming and recycling programs at all
locations. Other measures include efforts to eliminate unnecessary
packaging and company-wide directives to use recycled packaging and
raw materials whenever possible.
